Computer Application to Enhance Work Performance
As part of the Public Service Reform Agenda, all public officers are expected to be computer literate. This is to improve their operational efficincy, enthrone speed and accuracy in service delivery, encourage transparrency and accountability in the conduct of government businesss and make public officers manage public resources for results.

Presently, most of the public officers perform their enormous duties manaually and this limits their rate of achieiving desired result. Our computer application programme will introduce the senior and middle level staff, as well as the lower level staff, to computer application in office management and public administration.

Suitable for accountants, budget officers, auditors and administrative officers in the public service. It is very valuable for specific cadres, like the secretaries, personal assistants and computer operators. This programme is run in batches of 20 participants.

Automated Accounting Transaction Recording and Reporting System (ATRRS) (Multiple of 20 participants required)
The present manual operation of the accounting process in many line ministries, agencies and parastatals in government is not desirable. It breeds a lot of mistakes and associated problems like perennial delay in the rendition of returns, errors and omissions in the financial reports, to mention a few.

The ATRRS is a Treasury developed accounting software package to automate public sector accounting system. It is specially developed by the Federal Treasury to provide leverage solution to automate the manual recording and reporting of the accounting transactions in the public sector.

Computer Based Management Information System
Management Information Systems (MIS) are databases incorporated on computer networks that provide relevant information to management for appropraite making. MIS components consist of management considerations and expectations, computer networks, information structures and sharing schemes, data transmission devices, and overall control and security of the information. MIS is used by lower and middle management in carrying out their day-to-day and short-term tactical activites. Decision Support Systems (DDS) and Executive Support Systems (ESS) are used by middle and top management for medium-term and long-term strategic decisions.
